On August 21.-22. in Liepajas was held 1. stage of showdown season in Latvia.

Unfortunately in first leaugue for diferent reasons were only 9 participants. Group stage without loses ended Deniss Ovsjaņņikovs and Juris Strazdiņš, who beat other favorite Raimonds Briežkalns. It meant that this time no will be final Deniss vs Raimonds. This time very well played Ivars starks, who finished in the 5th place.

To the seminfinals get Imants Elstiņš and Andis Briģis. Imants won Andis , and Deniss in 4 sets won Raimonds. In a battle for third place Raimonds won Andis, but in the big final Deniss in 3 straight sets won Imants and became a winner in a first showdown stage 2021.

In a second leaugue there started 14 showdowners. To the semifinals get Linda Bumbiere and Aigija Tērauda, where in 5 sets won Linda. Also Georgy Muraviev won Viktorija Dukaļska. In game for third palce Aigija won Viktorija, but in the final Georgy in great 5 sets won Linda.
